Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 26, 2026
StreetReps ("StreetReps," "we," "us") doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. This Cookie Policy explains, in plain English, what we use in your browser instead, and how to clear it. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which covers what we collect and why.
The short version
- We don't set advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or any other non-essential cookies — so there's no cookie banner on StreetReps.
- We use your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember things like your theme and your practice progress.
- If you sign in, our authentication provider keeps you signed in with a token stored in local storage, not a cookie.
- Our analytics tool (PostHog) is configured to run without cookies, is routed through our own domain, and is never used for advertising.
- You can clear all of it at any time from your browser's settings, or by signing out.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to store, often used to track you across visits or across other sites. StreetReps doesn't set any cookies of its own — no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking cookies, and no analytics cookies. Cookie-consent banners exist to get your permission before a site sets that kind of non-essential cookie; since we don't set any, we don't show one. Anything StreetReps needs to remember, it keeps in your browser's local storage instead, described below.
Local storage
Local storage is a small space in your own browser, tied to this site, that only StreetReps can read. Nothing in it is sent anywhere unless the feature it supports needs to — for example, syncing your progress once you sign in. We use it for:
- Theme. Whether you're using light or dark mode.
- Practice progress and streaks. Your XP, streak, lessons completed, practice stats, and Combine scores, plus a short list of recent activity, so the app remembers where you left off. If you sign in, this same progress is also saved to our database so it follows you across devices (see the Privacy Policy).
- Resume builder drafts. The answers you type into the resume builder, your chosen template, the resume we generate for you, and which step you're on, saved as you go so you don't lose your work.
- Sign-in session. If you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) keeps a session token here so you stay signed in between visits.
- A few small preferences. Things like whether you've collapsed the sidebar, a club code you're partway through entering, and which link first brought you to the site. None of this identifies you personally.
Analytics
We use PostHog, a product-analytics tool, to understand how StreetReps is used — for example, which section someone opened, or that a Combine run finished — so we can improve it. It's configured to run without cookies, storing what little it needs in local storage instead, and events are routed through our own domain rather than posthog.com so the traffic stays first-party. We don't use it, or anything else, for advertising, and we don't allow cross-site tracking. We may also capture anonymized recordings of how the interface is used to find and fix problems; any text you type is masked. For the full list of providers we use and what they see, read the Privacy Policy.
Clearing this data
Because everything above lives in your browser, not on our side, you're in control of it:
- Clear your browser's site data (sometimes called "cookies and site data," or "storage," depending on your browser) for streetreps.org to remove all of it.
- Sign out from the account menu to remove just your sign-in session.
Clearing local storage will sign you out and remove any progress that wasn't already synced to your account.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
