Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and StreetReps ("StreetReps," "we," "us") for your use of our website and app. By using StreetReps, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. We keep this short and in plain English.
The short version
- StreetReps is a free study tool for finance recruiting. It is educational — not financial, investment, or career advice.
- Use it fairly: don't abuse it, break it, scrape it, or use it to harm others.
- You own what you write; you give us permission to show it in the app (for example, on a club leaderboard).
- We can't guarantee you'll get an interview or a job. Practice helps, but outcomes are up to you and the firms.
- The service is provided "as is," and there are limits on our liability.
Who can use StreetReps
StreetReps is intended for university students and professionals preparing for finance recruiting. You must be at least 13 years old to use it, and old enough to form a binding agreement where you live. If you use StreetReps on behalf of a club, school, or organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it.
Your account
You can use most of StreetReps without an account. If you sign in, you're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Choose a display name that isn't offensive or impersonating someone else — we can reset or remove names that break this rule. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without permission.
Acceptable use
When you use StreetReps, you agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Upload content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or that isn't yours to share (including copyrighted interview materials you don't have the right to post).
- Try to break, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our providers' systems.
- Scrape or bulk-download the app, or use bots to automate access, except for public search-engine indexing.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service or its content without our written permission.
- Misuse the AI features — for example, to generate abusive content or to try to extract another user's private data.
We may suspend or remove content or accounts that break these rules, to keep the service safe and working for everyone.
Your content
"Your content" is anything you add to StreetReps — a display name, sample compensation entries, questions you contribute to the Vault, club materials, assignments, and messages. You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and share it as needed to operate the service — for example, showing your display name and XP on a leaderboard, or sharing a question you contribute with the community.
Only submit content you have the right to share, and keep it accurate and appropriate. Community contributions (such as Vault questions) may be reviewed or screened before they appear, and we may edit or remove content that is inaccurate, off-topic, or breaks these terms. You're responsible for what you post.
The Combine and AI features
The Combine and the AI coach use automated speech-to-text and AI models to transcribe and grade your answers and to respond to your questions. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Scores, grades, feedback, firm information, timelines, and coach responses are for practice only — verify anything important before you rely on it in a real interview or application. How we handle your voice recordings and data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Leaderboards, clubs, and firm information
Leaderboards show players' display names and XP. Clubs let members share leaderboards, assignments, and materials within a group; if you join or create a club, use it respectfully and only share materials you're allowed to. Firm profiles, ratings, and recruiting timelines are crowd-sourced and estimated, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and are not endorsed by the firms. Always confirm dates and details on the firm's own official channels.
Not professional advice
StreetReps is an educational study tool. It does not provide financial, investment, legal, or professional career advice, and using it does not create any advisory or employment relationship. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any bank, firm, employer, or school named in the app. We don't guarantee any particular result, including that you'll receive an interview, an offer, or a job.
Our content and intellectual property
StreetReps, including its questions, lessons, design, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable license to use the service for your own interview preparation. Please don't copy, redistribute, or build a competing product from our content. Company and school names and logos belong to their owners and are used for identification only.
Third-party services
StreetReps relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, Netlify, Groq, Anthropic/DeepSeek, and Google) to operate, and may link to third-party sites such as firm careers pages. We're not responsible for third-party services or sites, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content or AI output is accurate or reliable.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StreetReps and its founders and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, offers, or profits, arising from your use of the service. Because StreetReps is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to CAD $50.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold StreetReps harmless from claims and costs arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using StreetReps at any time and can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as content licenses, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — continue to apply after your access ends.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use StreetReps after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
